Nottingham Forest has tested Crystal Palace’s resolve with a £35m bid for striker Jean-Philippe Mateta. However, the Eagles are playing hardball, reportedly holding out for a £40m package.
Beyond the price tag, Palace has made it clear that the 28-year-old Frenchman won’t be heading to the City Ground unless they successfully secure a replacement first.
