Former Nottingham Forest owner Fawaz Al-Hasawi is recovering after being stabbed while confronting two masked intruders who broke into his £10 million Mayfair mansion.
Kuwaiti businessman Fawaz Al-Hasawi was attacked earlier this month after two armed individuals broke into his London property while he was asleep.
The 57-year-old reportedly confronted the intruders in his bedroom and sustained stab wounds to his hands and injuries to his neck during the struggle.
Images shared on social media showed Al-Hasawi in a hospital waiting room with both hands heavily bandaged.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed the injuries were not life-threatening or life-changing, and the suspects fled the scene before officers arrived.
It remains unclear if any items were stolen from the billionaire, who is a noted collector of luxury timepieces.
Responding to the incident on social media, Al-Hasawi’s lawyer stated, “Fawaz is fine, by God’s grace,” as authorities continue their investigation into the burglary.
