Martinelli silences the critics with a hat-trick 😤
Gabriel Martinelli struck a clinical hat-trick as a heavily rotated Arsenal side recovered from an early scare to defeat Portsmouth 4-1 at Fratton Park, securing their place in the FA Cup fourth round.
Despite making 10 changes to their lineup, the Gunners responded quickly after Colby Bishop’s third-minute opener, leveling through an Andre Dozzell own goal before Martinelli took control of the tie with goals in the 25th, 51st, and 72nd minutes.
The match was also notable for a milestone in club history, as 16-year-old defender Marli Salmon came off the bench to become the youngest player to ever feature for Arsenal in the FA Cup.
