Gary Lineker has advised Chelsea head coach Liam Rosenior to simplify his media presence and focus on coaching following a string of three consecutive defeats that has intensified pressure at Stamford Bridge.
Gary Lineker has warned Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior to alter his media approach as the “honeymoon period” ends following three straight losses.
Speaking on The Rest Is Football, Lineker suggested Rosenior should mirror Michael Carrick rather than former Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim.
“Don’t overdo your press conferences. Just answer it a little bit,” Lineker advised, urging the 41-year-old to prioritize “patterns of play.”
Despite a humiliating Champions League exit against PSG, Chelsea’s board reportedly maintains faith in Rosenior for now.
The hierarchy acknowledges he needs time to implement his ideas, yet his future likely hinges on securing a top-five finish.
“Stick to the coaching, which obviously you can see the patterns of play and this sort of thing. Stick to that,” Lineker added, amid growing fan frustration.
