Newcastle captain Bruno Guimaraes labelled the last-gasp equaliser conceded in a 2-2 draw with Tottenham as “unacceptable”. The result means the Magpies have now dropped 11 points from winning positions this season, a joint league-high.
Cristian Romero’s late strike cancelled out goals from Guimaraes and Anthony Gordon. Head coach Eddie Howe expressed his disappointment, stating the team simply “needed to defend the corner better” to secure the three points.
