Bayern Munich star Harry Kane and teammate Joshua Kimmich immediately dismissed suggestions that Kane’s opening goal against Stuttgart should have been disallowed for a shove on marker Serhou Guirassy. Match official Bastian Dankert concurred, calling it a “completely normal movement.”
Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane and Joshua Kimmich have emphatically rejected claims that Kane’s opening goal against Stuttgart should have been ruled out for a foul on Serhou Guirassy in the 22nd minute.
Kane headed home Kimmich’s corner to give the hosts a 1-0 lead, but the striker gave his marker a slight shove just beforehand.
When asked about the challenge, Kane simply said: “Oh come on. It’s a contact sport. If that’s a foul, than I really don’t know what to say.“
Kimmich supported his teammate, adding: “Even Guirassy isn’t complaining. That’s not a foul. I think we can all agree on that.“
Match official Bastian Dankert backed the decision to allow the goal, confirming the ruling in his post-match interview. “That’s a completely normal movement by the attacker on a marking defender,” Dankert explained.
“It’s not a push, not a shove in the back of Serhou Guirassy. You can’t see two hands on his bac[k].”
