Igor Tudor has sacked assistant John Heitinga and three other staff members as he implements a high-risk tactical overhaul to save Tottenham from Premier League relegation.
Interim head coach Igor Tudor has initiated a ruthless backroom overhaul at Tottenham Hotspur, resulting in the exit of assistant John Heitinga just 33 days after his arrival.
Alongside Heitinga, staffers Justin Cochrane, Chris Haslam, and Joe Newton were also dismissed as Tudor prepares for a relegation battle.
The Croatian manager is expected to appoint his own team, including Ivan Javorcic and Riccardo Raganacci.
Tudor’s appointment marks a tactical shift for the struggling North London side, who sit five points above the drop zone.
Former player William Troost-Ekong noted that Tudor prefers a high-risk 3-5-2 system focused on aggression.
Embracing the challenge, Tudor stated: “I understand the responsibility I have been handed and my focus is clear. To bring greater consistency to our performances and compete with conviction.”
