‘It’s fake news’: Glasner dismisses Crystal Palace contract rumours

Glasner says he hasn’t been offered a Palace deal and dismisses reports as “fake news.”

Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner has strongly rejected reports claiming he turned down a new contract at the club. The Austrian, whose current deal expires at the end of the season, clarified during Friday’s press conference that no discussions have taken place.

“There are so many rumours and factors,” Glasner said. “We didn’t talk about a contract, I haven’t been offered a contract so I therefore cannot reject a contract offer. That is the situation. Everything else is really fake news.”

Sky Sports reports Palace plan to open talks with Glasner during the international break, though no formal offer has yet been made. His name has also surfaced in Manchester United’s search for a new manager, adding intrigue to his future.

Palace fans remain eager for clarity, with the club keen to maintain stability as they push higher up the Premier League table.
