Jamie Carragher slams Mohamed Salah’s comments as disgrace

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher called Mohamed Salah’s explosive comments about being “thrown under a bus” by coach Arne Slot “a disgrace” and suggested the incident was choreographed to cause “maximum damage,” leading the legend to question whether the Egyptian star will play for the club again.

According to comments made on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football, former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher heavily criticized Mohamed Salah’s post-match remarks following Saturday’s draw at Leeds, labeling the action “a disgrace.”

After Salah was benched for a third straight game, he publicly stated he felt he had been “thrown under a bus.” Carragher argued, “I think whenever Mo Salah stops in a mixed zone… it’s choreographed with his agent to cause maximum damage and strengthen his own position.”

The fallout saw Liverpool withdraw Salah from the squad for the Champions League trip to Inter Milan. Carragher suspects Salah “waited I think for a bad result” to “go for the manager and maybe try to get him sacked.”

Questioning the player’s future, Carragher added, “What he’s done off the pitch, I think the club have made the right decision… Whether he will play for Liverpool again, I don’t know.”
