Former Germany manager Joachim Löw has denied receiving an official approach from Ghana to lead the Black Stars at the 2026 World Cup, following the recent departure of head coach Otto Addo.
Joachim Löw has broken his silence regarding rumors linking him to the vacant Ghana national team manager position.
The 2014 World Cup winner is currently a free agent after leaving the German setup in 2021.
Despite intensifying speculation that he could lead the Black Stars in North America, Löw clarified his current standing to Sky Sport, stating: “With me, officially, nobody from Ghana has spoken.”
Ghana is searching for a replacement for Otto Addo, who was dismissed after a string of poor results, including a 2-1 defeat to Germany.
Löw remains open to a return to international management for the right project.
He emphasized his desire to continue coaching, noting: “Basically, I have said that I don’t want to retire now. Especially if there is another interesting offer.”
