Borussia Dortmund striker Serhou Guirassy is determined to leave the club and secure a transfer this winter, according to a report from Goal, citing comments made by Dortmund legend Karl-Heinz Riedle.
Guirassy, who has been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona, only signed for Dortmund in the summer but Riedle believes the striker has already made up his mind about his future.
Riedle, who played for the German club for three years, stated that he has concrete information regarding Guirassy’s intentions.
Riedle told Goal: “I know he absolutely wants to leave Borussia Dortmund and is definitely looking for another club.”
The 26-year-old, who has a contract until 2029, has been in phenomenal form since moving to Germany from Stuttgart, netting 14 goals in 13 Bundesliga appearances this season.
His impressive goal tally has attracted interest from several top European clubs, with Barcelona considered a leading contender. The Camp Nou side are reportedly exploring a loan move with an option to buy.
Guirassy’s potential departure presents a challenge for Dortmund boss Edin Terzic, who relies on the forward’s consistent goal-scoring output.
The player’s focus on leaving suggests he is prioritising a move to a club like Barcelona in the near future.
