Liam Rosenior downplays big game talk ahead of Arsenal visit

Chelsea head coach Liam Rosenior has dismissed the notion that Wednesday’s Carabao Cup semi-final first leg against Arsenal serves as the most significant milestone of his managerial career to date.

Preparing for his first home match at Stamford Bridge since succeeding Enzo Maresca, the 41-year-old emphasized a philosophy of immediate focus rather than prioritizing specific fixtures or trophies.

When questioned about the magnitude of facing the Premier League leaders, Rosenior stated, “People will look at it that way; I don’t see it that way. Every session that I take, every meeting that I take, every game that we play is the most important thing. I live in the now.”

Following a dominant 5-1 FA Cup debut against Charlton, Rosenior confirmed that his staff has been analyzing the Gunners’ tactical play since his arrival, asserting that “finals and trophies don’t exist if you don’t take care of the now.”
