Chelsea head coach Liam Rosenior has confirmed that defender Marc Cucurella remains sidelined with a hamstring issue, with no current timeline set for his return to action.
Chelsea head coach Liam Rosenior has provided a cautious update on Marc Cucurella after the Spaniard missed Friday’s 4-0 FA Cup victory over Hull City.
The defender sustained a hamstring injury during Tuesday’s draw with Leeds United and was forced off at half-time.
Rosenior confirmed the injury was “enforced,” noting that while the player has been “top,” he is currently unavailable for selection.
Despite hopes for a quick recovery, Rosenior admitted he remains in the dark regarding a specific comeback date. Speaking after the match at the MKM Stadium, he stated, “At the moment he’s not fit.
There is an issue with his hamstring.” He further added, “I don’t know — I can’t give you a time frame on that at the moment.”
