Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior revealed that goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen issued a heartfelt apology following his costly mistake against PSG.
Jorgensen, starting ahead of Robert Sanchez, gifted the hosts a lead after his errant pass was intercepted.
Rosenior defended the Dane, stating, “Credit to him, he held his hands up in the dressing room.” The manager insisted that mistakes are part of football and urged squad unity.
Despite the individual error, Rosenior accepted personal responsibility for the team’s late disintegration, where they conceded three goals in twenty minutes.
“The last 15-20 minutes were crazy, but that’s on me,” he admitted. The 5-2 result leaves Chelsea facing a daunting second leg at Stamford Bridge.
