Player Ratings:
Giorgi Mamardashvili – 5
Made two fine saves from Damsgaard but looked uncertain and slow to react for both Brentford goals.
Conor Bradley – 5
At fault for conceding the throw-in that led to Brentford’s opener; assisted Kerkez’s goal but overall poor defensively.
Ibrahima Konate – 5
Caught napping for the second goal, completely misjudged his positioning alongside Van Dijk.
Virgil van Dijk – 5
Decent aerial clearances, but conceded a clumsy penalty and failed to organise the back line effectively.
Milos Kerkez – 5
Struggled to contain Dango early on, though he scored Liverpool’s first. Booked and subbed off after 60 minutes.
Curtis Jones – 6
Showed promise before injury forced him off. Used the ball well and linked up smartly in midfield.
Dominik Szoboszlai – 7
Liverpool’s standout performer. His pressing and late assist for Salah were the few positives from the game.
Florian Wirtz – 5
Missed a big chance to level and faded afterward. Needs to adapt better to physical play.
Mohamed Salah – 5
Anonymous for most of the match, but redeemed himself with a classy late goal off the bar.
Hugo Ekitike – 5
Conceded possession cheaply before Brentford’s second. Barely involved afterward.
Cody Gakpo – 5
Created one early chance for Salah but lacked final product. Decision-making poor.
