The 22-year-old’s versatility, having played both right and left-back, adds to his appeal. City’s need for a right-back is evident following Kyle Walker’s departure and Rico Lewis’s inconsistent performances. While Matheus Nunes filled in last season, he’s not seen as a long-term solution. However, Newcastle is reportedly resisting City’s advances.
