Manchester United manager Michael Carrick expects to welcome Harry Maguire and Mason Mount back for the upcoming clash against Everton following promising fitness updates.
Manchester United have received a significant fitness boost with Harry Maguire and Mason Mount expected to return for the Premier League trip to face Everton on February 23.
Maguire, who suffered a hamstring scare during the recent 1-1 draw with West Ham, returned to training late last week.
Mount is also slated for a comeback at the Hill Dickinson Stadium after missing three matches with an unspecified training injury.
While the return of the English duo bolsters Michael Carrick’s unbeaten start, United remain without Matthijs de Ligt and Patrick Dorgu.
De Ligt is targeting a March 1 return against Crystal Palace for his recovery from a long-term back issue.
Meanwhile, Dorgu is expected to remain sidelined until mid-April following a severe hamstring injury.
Carrick stated, “Pat, unfortunately, he’s going to be out for a period of time,” as the medical team continues to evaluate his recovery.
