Joachim Löw in talks with African giants to manage crisis at 2026 World Cup
World Cup-winning coach Joachim Löw is reportedly in negotiations to lead Ghana at the 2026 World Cup following the sudden dismissal of Otto Addo just 72 days before the tournament begins.
Former Germany manager Joachim Löw is in advanced discussions to take over as head coach of Ghana.
The 66-year-old, who famously led Germany to 2014 World Cup glory, has been out of management since 2021.
If the deal is finalized, Löw is expected to earn approximately €150,000 per month while tasked with stabilizing a Black Stars team currently ranked 72nd in the world.
The move follows the sacking of Otto Addo after four consecutive defeats. Ghana faces a challenging Group L featuring England, Croatia, and Panama, starting June 18 in Toronto.
Regarding a return to the dugout, Löw recently admitted: “Now I’m ready to consider opportunities that leave a good impression. I have extensive experience with national teams and preparing for major tournaments.”
