Mauricio Pochettino has denied rumors of a return to Tottenham Hotspur or a move to Real Madrid, reaffirming his total commitment to the United States Men’s National Team for the 2026 World Cup.
Mauricio Pochettino has distanced himself from the managerial vacancy at Tottenham, insisting he is “very, very focused” on his role with the USMNT.
Speaking before Tuesday’s friendly against Portugal, Pochettino denied holding talks with former clubs or Real Madrid.
Despite his contract expiring this summer, he remains open to staying, stating: “Who knows what is going to happen? And by the way, we are open.”
While Pochettino expressed his enduring affection for Spurs, the North London club is reportedly in advanced talks with Roberto De Zerbi.
The Italian is expected to lead a desperate survival bid as Tottenham sits just one point above the relegation zone.
Pochettino remains optimistic about their future, however, noting: “I’m sure they are going to stay up and that’s with a coach or without a coach.”
