Chelsea midfielder Moises Caicedo has fueled further uncertainty at Stamford Bridge by failing to dismiss a potential future move to Real Madrid, following the club’s decision to discipline captain Enzo Fernandez for similar comments.
Moises Caicedo has added to the growing discontent at Chelsea by leaving the door open for a move to Real Madrid.
Speaking while on international duty, the Ecuadorian admitted that while he is focused on his long-term contract in London, “you never know in football.”
His comments follow manager Liam Rosenior’s decision to drop Enzo Fernandez after the captain publicly flirted with the Spanish giants.
The Blues are currently enduring a crisis on and off the pitch, sitting sixth in the Premier League after four straight defeats.
Caicedo acknowledged the difficult transition since Enzo Maresca’s departure, noting that the squad is struggling to adapt to Rosenior’s style.
Regarding his future, he stated: “I have a contract with Chelsea now… but well, in the end, you never know in football.”
