West Ham manager Nuno Espírito Santo strongly criticized VAR after his side conceded a controversial late equalizer in their 1-1 draw with Brighton, claiming two clear mistakes—a handball and a high boot—were missed.
West Ham manager Nuno Espírito Santo was highly frustrated after his side were held to a 1-1 draw by Brighton, claiming the late equaliser was allowed due to “two VAR mistakes.”
The goal, scored by Georginio Rutter, was checked for a handball and a high boot on defender Konstantinos Mavropanos in the build-up.
Nuno stated: “It’s not ‘appears’, it’s clear. I saw it, everybody saw it. We cannot understand how they gave the goal.”
He lamented the outcome after the team’s hard work, saying, “It’s hard to take, man, it’s really hard to take especially after the hard work of the boys.”
