Chelsea winger Pedro Neto sparked a late confrontation at the Parc des Princes after shoving a ball boy during the closing stages of his side’s Champions League defeat to Paris Saint-Germain.
Chelsea’s Pedro Neto was involved in a controversial stoppage-time incident during Wednesday’s 5-2 loss to Paris Saint-Germain.
Frustrated by a delay in play, the Portuguese international shoved a ball boy in the chest while attempting to retrieve the ball for a throw-in.
The youngster fell backward into an advertising board but appeared unharmed and was quickly comforted by several Paris Saint-Germain players.
The altercation triggered a heated exchange between both sets of players as PSG stars confronted Neto over his actions.
Despite the physical nature of the shove and the ensuing tension on the touchline, the match referee opted not to issue a booking or any formal punishment.
The incident marred a difficult night for the Blues, who now face a significant first-leg deficit.
