Guardiola, Arteta, Emery, up for Premier League Manager of the Month award

Pep Guardiola is up for the Premier League Manager of the Month award after leading Manchester City to five straight league wins during an undefeated December.

Pep Guardiola has been shortlisted for the Premier League Manager of the Month award following a flawless run throughout December.

Manchester City secured victories in all five of their top-flight fixtures during the festive period, contributing to a perfect month where the club won seven consecutive matches across all competitions.

The run has solidified City’s momentum as they continue their pursuit of silverware on multiple fronts heading into the new year.

The month began with a high-scoring 5-4 thriller at Fulham, followed by a string of dominant defensive displays.

City recorded 3-0 victories against Sunderland, Crystal Palace, and West Ham United before concluding their league schedule with a hard-fought 2-1 win at Nottingham Forest.

Beyond league duties, Guardiola also led his side to a 2-1 Champions League triumph at the Bernabeu against Real Madrid and secured a Carabao Cup semi-final berth by defeating Brentford.

Guardiola faces competition for the accolade from Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta, Leeds United’s Daniel Farke, and Aston Villa’s Unai Emery.

Supporters have until midday on Monday, January 12, to cast their votes, with the Premier League set to officially announce the winner on Friday, January 16.

The club encouraged fans to participate in the process, stating online: “VOTE FOR PEP GUARDIOLA HERE” to recognize the team’s unbeaten streak.
