Real Madrid have released an official statement categorically denying reports that the club is seeking a new sporting director to restructure its existing transfer hierarchy.
Real Madrid have dismissed claims by Cadena SER that they are searching for a sporting director via an external agency.
The club issued a firm rebuttal on Friday morning, defending their current management structure led by José Ángel Sánchez and Juni Calafat.
Los Blancos described the reports as “completely false,” maintaining full confidence in the leadership that has secured six European Cups in a decade.
The denied report suggested that a new appointment would reduce the influence of General Manager Sánchez following recent scrutiny of the club’s transfer policy.
However, the club remains steadfast in its current operational model.
Real Madrid stated they “greatly value the work carried out by the club’s sporting management,” noting it has facilitated one of the most successful periods in their history.
