Chelsea launches a limited-edition poppy-themed pre-match top with the Royal British Legion, raising funds for the Poppy Appeal to honour fallen heroes and support the Armed Forces community.
Chelsea Football Club has unveiled a limited-edition poppy pre-match top, produced in partnership with the Royal British Legion (RBL), to mark the period of Remembrance and raise funds for the Poppy Appeal.
The commemorative Nike shirt, which blends the time-honored poppy symbol with the club’s historic Chelsea rose, will be worn by both the men’s and women’s teams across four forthcoming fixtures.
The men’s team is set to debut the top in their Premier League London derby against Tottenham, followed by the match against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Stamford Bridge.
The women’s team will wear it for their derby against Arsenal and their visit to Liverpool, which are the two games designated by the WSL for marking Remembrance.
To maximize support for the Armed Forces community, only 2,025 of the tops are available for purchase. The club confirmed that £15.00 from the sale of each shirt will be donated directly to the Royal British Legion Trading Limited, benefiting the RBL’s vital work supporting serving members, veterans, and their families.
Ben France, head of corporate partnerships at the Royal British Legion, expressed gratitude for the collaboration.
He stated: “We are proud to partner with Chelsea Football Club this Remembrance period on a limited-edition poppy pre-match top.
This special Nike pre-match top… provides a brilliant example of how the football community can honour serving personnel, veterans, and their families, showing them that their service and sacrifice are recognised and will never be forgotten.”
