Rodri has refused to rule out a sensational move to Real Madrid, admitting he finds the Bernabeu “incredible” and remains open to a La Liga return.
Manchester City star Rodri has hinted at a future departure from the Etihad, specifically opening the door to a move to Real Madrid.
The 2023 Ballon d’Or winner, who is under contract until 2027, admitted a desire to return to his homeland. “I’d like to return, yes, obviously,” he stated.
After seven years in England, the Spaniard acknowledged the physical toll of the Premier League.
Addressing a potential move to his former club’s rivals, Rodri noted that many players have crossed the Madrid divide.
“For me, you can’t turn down the best clubs in the world,” he explained, adding that “the Bernabeu is always incredible.”
While currently focused on regaining full fitness following an ACL injury, he confirmed that conversations regarding his long-term future will eventually take place.
