Arsenal are set to make Bukayo Saka their highest earner with a new deal, while manager Mikel Arteta has entered the final 18 months of his contract with no talks planned yet.
According to a report from Mirror Football, Arsenal are preparing to make an improved long-term contract offer to Bukayo Saka as they aim to secure his future at the club.
The new deal under discussion is reportedly valued at approximately £300,000 per week, a sum that would place the England forward among the highest-paid players in the squad.
Saka, 24, emerged from Arsenal’s academy and has since developed into a key attacking figure under manager Mikel Arteta, whose long-term vision depends in part on retaining young stars.
While talks have been ongoing for months, the club is said to be stepping up efforts as Saka’s current contract – signed in May 2023 – runs until mid-2027.
Arteta has made no direct comment on the figures, but the report suggests the club are relaxed about the situation and confident of reaching a resolution before the season ends.
One source said: “They are ready to put him in the top pay league as they step up efforts to tie him down to a new deal.”
Should Saka commit to the new contract, Arsenal would solidify one of their brightest talents for the medium term, sending a strong message of ambition to both the player and the wider field.
Negotiations remain private and no formal announcement has yet been made.
