Manchester City will relocate some season-ticket holders to accommodate a new hospitality bar as part of the Etihad Stadium’s North Stand expansion.
Manchester City have announced that some season-ticket holders will be moved to new seats as part of the Etihad Stadium’s ongoing expansion project.
The Premier League champions are adding 7,000 new seats to the North Stand, increasing the ground’s capacity to 60,000 ahead of next season. The redevelopment includes two new bar areas, the Cross Bar and City Hall, with the latter requiring relocation of existing season-ticket holders.
City confirmed that affected supporters will be moved to the expanded North Stand and offered the choice of seats in the new safe-standing section, which includes 3,000 rail seats. The club assured fans that their season-ticket prices “will not change even if they move to a more expensive seat.”
The new City Hall area will accommodate up to 500 fans and is described by the club as “an enhanced bar experience,” available on both matchdays and non-matchdays.
Despite the capacity boost, City said no new season tickets will be issued. Instead, 4,000 “flexi season tickets” will be released, half of which are reserved for Junior Cityzen members.
The expansion will also introduce a museum, fan zone, hotel, and additional food and drink areas, with completion expected by the end of next year.
