Milan Skriniar has officially joined Fenerbahce on a four-year contract, leaving Paris Saint-Germain after a two-year stint. The Slovakian international defender is set to make his mark in Turkey's vibrant capital, Istanbul.
Skriniar's return to Istanbul follows a loan spell last season with Jose Mourinho's squad, where they narrowly missed out on the Super Lig title, finishing as runners-up.
Upon returning to PSG, Skriniar was directed to train with the youth team, signaling his departure after the team's triumphant Champions League victory. The transfer was made official when Fenerbahce announced it with a tweet showing Skriniar alongside Nelson Semedo.
Skriniar initially joined PSG two summers ago as a free agent after his contract with Inter Milan concluded. However, reports suggest that former manager Luis Enrique didn't approve of the signing. The decision was made prior to Enrique's appointment at Parc des Princes.
During his tenure with PSG, Skriniar made 37 appearances in all competitions, securing a Ligue 1 title and a Coupe de France victory in his debut season.
Joining Skriniar at Fenerbahce is former Wolves player Nelson Semedo. Both players are poised to potentially debut in the league opener against Alanyaspor on August 9.
