While Tottenham officials acknowledged they are open to public criticism, they felt such “banter” was inappropriate coming from the league’s official 44.9-million-follower account.
The controversy arrives as pressure mounts on interim head coach Igor Tudor, whose winless start has left Tottenham 16th in the table.
Spurs sit just four points above the relegation zone after failing to secure a victory in 2026.
