Tottenham Hotspur successfully broke their recent winless streak by defeating Brentford 2-0, thanks to goals from Richarlison and Xavi Simons, while Brentford manager Thomas Frank felt his side missed a clear opportunity for victory.
Tottenham Hotspur finally found form at home, securing a much-needed 2-0 victory over Brentford to end their recent winless spell.
Xavi Simons was instrumental, setting up the opening goal for Richarlison in the 25th minute before netting his first goal for the club just before the break to seal the crucial three points and break the team’s home hoodoo.
Brentford manager Thomas Frank expressed frustration at his side’s inability to capitalize on their chances throughout the contest. Frank reflected:
“It feels like we missed an opportunity to get three points… we created more than enough to score at least one goal, and then it would have been a different game.”
