Amid recent struggles under Thomas Frank, Tottenham Hotspur are being advised to pursue Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe as a superior alternative to Oliver Glasner.
The report suggests that Newcastle United head coach Eddie Howe “may fancy a change of scene after a lengthy spell in the North East and would be ideal” for Spurs.
Howe, 48, has been with Newcastle since 2021 and has been praised as a “calming presence in the dugout” throughout the club’s recent major ownership transition.
His success with the Toon Army is noted by his ability to guide the team into the Champions League and, crucially, for having “ended their 56-year wait for a trophy after they beat Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley in the last campaign.”
Howe’s managerial record at Newcastle stands at a 50.8% win rate across 193 matches at the helm.
The analysis concludes that the “experienced operator at the top level” would be a “shrewd pick by Spurs” if they could successfully entice him down south for a “new challenge.”
