Interim manager Igor Tudor is working to reunite with long-term assistant Ivan Javorcic at Tottenham as the club battles to avoid Premier League relegation.
Tottenham Hotspur are finalizing a move for assistant coach Ivan Javorcic to bolster interim manager Igor Tudor’s backroom staff.
Javorcic previously served under Tudor at both Juventus and Lazio, helping achieve Champions League qualification and steadying results.
The Croatian duo is now tasked with steering 16th-placed Spurs away from the relegation zone following the recent dismissal of former manager Thomas Frank.
Tudor confirmed the ongoing negotiations during Wednesday’s pre-match press conference, noting that administrative hurdles remain.
“Yes, it is an ongoing thing. We wait. Still, we wait,” the Croat stated regarding the mandatory work permit. “Yeah, yeah. We are waiting.”
Javorcic would join a revamped coaching team featuring Bruno Saltor and Tomislav Rogic as Spurs prepare for a vital clash against Crystal Palace.
