Tottenham goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky has addressed his humiliating 17-minute substitution against Atletico Madrid, describing the experience as a “nightmare” while thanking supporters for their messages.
Antonin Kinsky has spoken out after being ruthlessly substituted just 17 minutes into Tottenham’s 5-2 defeat at Atletico Madrid.
The 22-year-old made two catastrophic errors, leading to a 3-0 deficit before manager Igor Tudor hooked him for Guglielmo Vicario.
On Instagram, Kinsky reflected on the ordeal, writing, “Thanks for the messages. From dream to nightmare to dream again. See you.”
Igor Tudor defended the rare decision, claiming it was necessary to “preserve” the young goalkeeper during a fragile moment for the team.
“Tony is a very good goalkeeper. It was for me the right decision,” Tudor explained, while admitting he had never made such a move in 15 years of coaching.
Kinsky is expected to return to the bench for Sunday’s clash against Liverpool.
