Nottingham Forest have opened negotiations with former Wolves manager Vítor Pereira to replace Sean Dyche, who was dismissed early Thursday morning after a 114-day tenure.
Nottingham Forest have held talks with former Wolves manager Vítor Pereira after sacking Sean Dyche in the early hours of Thursday morning.
The decision followed a 0-0 draw against bottom-placed Wolves, leaving Forest just three points clear of the relegation zone.
Pereira, who previously worked under owner Evangelos Marinakis at Olympiacos, is the leading candidate to become the club’s fourth head coach this season.
The club confirmed Dyche’s exit via a brief statement after he managed just 22 league games. Despite the mid-season turmoil, Forest have a week to finalize an appointment before their Europa League play-off against Fenerbahce.
Regarding the dismissal, the club stated: “We would like to thank Sean and his staff for their efforts during their time at the Club and we wish them the best of luck for the future.”
