Xabi Alonso frustrated by Endrick’s actions for Real Madrid

Real Madrid coach Xabi Alonso expressed frustration after Endrick, a substitute, kicked a water bottle when not played in the Getafe victory, potentially leading to a January loan move for the Brazilian forward.

The youngster is fully recovered from an early-season injury but has failed to make an appearance in the last six matches, finding himself low in the striker pecking order behind the likes of Kylian Mbappé and Gonzalo.

The 19-year-old had hoped to feature against Getafe on Sunday. However, after being asked to warm up late in the game, Alonso opted for Brahim Diaz and Gonzalo García as the final substitutes.

Endrick’s mounting frustration boiled over upon returning to the dugout. As per reports from Cadena SER, the starlet “kicked a water bottle in frustration, which caught the attention of Alonso, who was not best pleased with his number nine.”

The persistent lack of minutes is a significant concern for Endrick, who is desperate to secure a place in Brazil’s squad for the 2026 World Cup. Due to this, a temporary departure is now being considered, with a loan move in the January transfer window, potentially to interested Ligue 1 side Marseille, increasingly likely to provide him with regular playing time.
