Marcus Rashford says Manchester United’s “inconsistent environment” made it difficult for him to find regular form during his time at Old Trafford.
Rashford, who scored 138 goals in 426 games for United before joining Barcelona on loan this summer, has impressed in Spain with four goal involvements in eight La Liga matches.
Speaking from England’s camp ahead of their World Cup qualifier against Latvia, the 26-year-old reflected on his turbulent decade at United.
“I feel like I have been in an inconsistent environment for a very long time, so it is even more difficult to be consistent,” Rashford told ITV. “We have just had so many changes so far in my career.”
Rashford debuted under Louis van Gaal and later played for Jose Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer before leaving. He said United’s constant managerial turnover left the club “in no man’s land” and hindered long-term stability.
