Tottenham’s Bissouma stretchered off minutes into Mali’s 4–1 win over Madagascar

Tottenham’s Yves Bissouma was stretchered off just minutes into Mali’s 4–1 win over Madagascar, raising new concerns about his future after recent disciplinary and injury issues.

Tottenham midfielder Yves Bissouma suffered an injury scare after lasting just six minutes in Mali’s 4–1 World Cup qualifying win over Madagascar. The 29-year-old, making his first appearance of the season, came on in the 66th minute but was hacked down moments later by Arnaud Randrianantenaina and had to be stretchered off clutching his left leg.

Bissouma’s setback comes after a turbulent few months at Tottenham, where he was sidelined with a knee issue and missed a potential summer move to Galatasaray. Spurs boss Thomas Frank had earlier dropped him from the squad for “disciplinary reasons,” citing repeated lateness.

Frank, however, maintained there were “no hard feelings,” adding that Bissouma could still fight for his place once fit. The Mali international’s contract expires at the end of the season, raising uncertainty over his future with the north London club.
