Pep Guardiola reveals his plan if Man City are found guilty of 115 charges

Pep Guardiola has reaffirmed his loyalty to Manchester City ahead of the expected verdict on the club’s 115 Premier League financial charges, saying he will not leave even if the team is relegated.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has restated his commitment to the club as they await the verdict of their 115 Premier League financial charges, insisting he will remain at the Etihad regardless of the outcome.

City were charged over alleged breaches of Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations spanning 2009 to 2018, with the two-and-a-half-year investigation expected to conclude soon. According to The i Paper, a verdict could arrive in mid-November, potentially during the next international break.

“It’s gone very quiet and because it’s been going on for so long it’s almost been forgotten about,” a source told the outlet. “But all hell could break loose when it lands.”

Guardiola, however, has long made his position clear. “At the moment we are innocent until it is proven we are guilty. I know the people want it. I will wait. Wait and see,” he said in 2023. “But absolutely I will not consider my future if it depends on being here or being in League One. Absolutely. There is more chance to stay if we are in League One than if we were in the Champions League.”

Having signed a new contract until 2027, Guardiola has guided City to six Premier League titles and their first Champions League trophy since joining in 2016. The upcoming ruling could mark one of the most defining moments of his managerial tenure.
