Amorim admits Man Utd have much work ahead following draw with Tottenham

Ruben Amorim admitted Manchester United “still have a lot to do” after their 2-2 draw with Tottenham on Saturday. Matthijs de Ligt rescued a late point for United in stoppage time, heading in Bruno Fernandes’ corner at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Bryan Mbeumo had earlier opened the scoring for the visitors before Spurs fought back with goals from Mathys Tel and Richarlison.

“During the game we felt like the three points were there to take home,” Amorim told TNT Sports. “This is the tip of the iceberg; we are at the beginning of becoming a strong team, so we have a lot to do.”

Amorim also praised goalkeeper Senne Lammens for his performance, saying, “He is doing really well… as a goalkeeper you have to move on.” United extended their unbeaten run to five matches ahead of facing Everton later this month, while Tottenham prepare for a North London Derby clash with Arsenal after the international break.
