Arsenal seek to continue impressive run under Arteta against Sunderland

Arsenal return to Premier League action on Sunday as they travel to Sunderland in a bid to extend their unbeaten run. Mikel Arteta’s side lead the table by six points ahead of title rivals Liverpool and Manchester City.

The Gunners arrive at the Stadium of Light on the back of a 3-0 Champions League win over Slavia Prague and an impressive Carabao Cup quarter-final victory against Brighton. Arsenal have not lost in their last seven league matches and are hunting a ninth league win to maintain their top spot before the international break.

However, Arteta will be without key players including Martin Ødegaard, Gabriel Martinelli, Kai Havertz, and Gabriel Jesus. Sunderland, fourth in the Premier League, have been strong this season and are unbeaten in their last three league matches. The hosts will also miss several players due to injury.

The match kicks off at 17:30 GMT and will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.
