Atalanta confirmed the sacking of previous manager Ivan Juric on Monday and are moving swiftly to appoint the 41-year-old former Fiorentina tactician.
Palladino’s arrival follows speculation linking him with other high-profile jobs last week, including a return to the Franchi following Stefano Pioli’s dismissal, and even the Juventus job before Luciano Spalletti’s appointment.
However, the report indicates he was “never a genuine candidate for the Tuscans or the Bianconeri.”
Palladino is now ready to begin a new chapter, taking over a team that the club hopes will suit his playing style.
