Achraf Hakimi has been named the 2025 African Footballer of the Year as CAF released the full list of winners across men’s and women’s categories.
According to a report from VANGUARD, Moroccan star Achraf Hakimi won the 2025 African Footballer of the Year award after an exceptional season for club and country, beating Mohamed Salah and Victor Osimhen to the top honour.
The report also highlighted major wins for Nigeria, including Chiamaka Nnadozie clinching the Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year for the third straight time and Rasheedat Ajibade listed among the nominees for Women’s Player of the Year. CAF also released the full winners across all categories, covering men’s, women’s, youth, club, national team, and coaching awards.
