Sky Sports win TV rights for competitions off rival broadcaster in 12-year first

Sky Sports has secured exclusive UK rights to broadcast the Europa League and Conference League from 2027 to 2031, marking its return to European football after 12 years.

Sky Sports will broadcast the Europa League and Europa Conference League exclusively in the UK from 2027 to 2031, ending a 12-year absence from European competitions, according to a report from TALKSPORT. The deal grants Sky the rights to all 342 matches across both tournaments each season, marking a major shift in UK sports broadcasting. TNT Sports, which has held European rights for over a decade, will lose its coverage of the Europa League, Conference League, and the Champions League. The shake-up continues with Paramount+ winning the Champions League rights in a bid exceeding £1 billion, while Amazon Prime secures Tuesday night first-choice matches. Sky executives say the agreement strengthens their position as the home of football alongside the Premier League, EFL, SPFL, and WSL.
