BUA Group Chairman Abdulsamad Rabiu has pledged a $500,000 reward to the Super Eagles if they win their AFCON semi-final match, with a further $1 million promised should Nigeria clinch the title in Morocco. Rabiu made the announcement after Nigeria’s 2-0 quarter-final victory over Algeria, praising the team’s performance and national impact. “You have lifted the spirit of the nation,” he said.
Rabiu added incentives of $50,000 for each goal in the semi-final and $100,000 per goal in the final. Nigeria booked a last-four spot after Victor Osimhen scored and assisted Adams Akor. The Super Eagles will face hosts Morocco in the semi-final at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat on Wednesday.
