Chelsea is reportedly expecting to complete a significant transfer “double deal” involving defenders Aaron Anselmino and Mamadou Sarr ahead of tomorrow’s 7 p.m. deadline.
Chelsea is finalizing a strategic transfer exchange involving Aaron Anselmino and Mamadou Sarr to bolster Liam Rosenior’s defensive options before the window shuts on Monday.
Under the proposed “domino deal,” Chelsea will recall Sarr from his loan at Strasbourg to join the senior squad immediately.
To facilitate the move, the Blues plan to send Anselmino to the French side as a replacement, satisfying Rosenior’s urgent request for a new center-back.
Beyond the defensive reshuffle, David Datro Fofana could be nearing a permanent departure as Auxerre intensifies discussions for a loan with an option to buy.
Insider reports suggest BlueCo management remains firm on these movements, particularly regarding Anselmino’s destination.
Fabrice Hawkins noted on X: ‘Chelsea continue to push for Aaron Anselmino to join Strasbourg. In the minds of BlueCo’s management, there was never any question of sending him back to Dortmund. The Blues want Mamadou Sarr back.’
