Everton manager David Moyes believes qualifying for European competition is essential for the club to attract elite talent and continue its rapid ascent under new ownership.
Everton manager David Moyes has challenged his squad to secure European qualification to accelerate the club’s rebuilding process.
Following a dramatic 2-1 away victory at Fulham, the Blues have moved within striking distance of the Premier League’s top seven.
Moyes argues that continental football is the key to recruitment, stating: “I think if we can become a team in Europe it will help.”
The manager noted that several summer targets declined moves to Goodison Park due to a lack of European fixtures.
Reflecting on his ambitions for the club since the Friedkin Group takeover, Moyes remained focused on upward mobility rather than mere survival.
He told reporters: “I am too old to sit here and say I’m just going to try and keep us away from the bottom.”
