Former Arsenal kit man sues club over “Anti-Zionist” sacking

Long-serving Arsenal kit man Mark Bonnick has launched a legal battle for unfair dismissal, claiming the club discriminated against his political views regarding the conflict in Gaza.

Former Arsenal kit man Mark Bonnick has accused the Premier League leaders of putting “profit before people” following his dismissal for social media posts regarding Israel.

Bonnick, an employee since the early 2000s, is suing for unfair dismissal, claiming his “philosophical anti-Zionist belief” was the basis for his firing.

He stated in a recent interview, “I just think Arsenal were basically profit before people.”

The club sacked Bonnick in December 2024 following complaints about posts referencing “ethnic cleansing.”

While Bonnick alleges the FA later deemed his comments political rather than offensive, he remains determined to clear his name at a June mediation.

In his legal filing, he argued: “Israel is an apartheid state. I was sacked not for misconduct, but for expressing grief and outrage over genocide.”
