Thomas Frank clashed with four players before eventually being sacked by Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur have terminated Thomas Frank’s contract after just eight months, citing a dire winless run and a series of fractious relationships with senior first-team players.

Tottenham Hotspur have dismissed Thomas Frank following a turbulent tenure marked by public confrontations with his squad.

The final straw came after a 2-1 home loss to Newcastle United, leaving Spurs 16th in the table and just five points above the drop zone.

Reports suggest Frank’s relationship with the team soured due to his constant references to rivals Arsenal and disciplinary disputes with key figures, including Yves Bissouma and Micky van de Ven.

The Danish manager was notably blunt about his strict disciplinary standards after dropping Bissouma earlier in the season.

He explained: “Bissouma isn’t here because of disciplinary reasons. He has been late several times, the latest one too many.

We need to give love and have demands but there have to be consequences. There’s been a consequence. We will follow it up when we get home and park it for now.”
