Former Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has expressed his deep concern and lasting emotional attachment to the club as they struggle to avoid relegation from the Premier League.
Tottenham Hotspur’s precarious position in a relegation battle has sparked an emotional reaction from former head coach Ange Postecoglou.
Speaking on the club’s current plight, Postecoglou admitted, “Not great, I still have a really strong attachment to the club.”
He reflected on his intense two-year tenure, noting that while the years were difficult, winning a European trophy remained an “incredible high.”
The Australian manager emphasized that the connection remains “forever” despite the current turmoil.
“To watch them struggle has not been easy and it’s not the way I thought it would go,” he remarked.
Stressing the gravity of the situation, he added that “relegation is massive for any club but for Tottenham, it’s a pretty big deal,” urging the squad to find a “circuit-breaker.”
